Because I\u2019m still practicing it.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>I was talking with a friend of mine a couple days ago and he mentioned that most coaches in football believe in repetition. The coaches used to make them repeat a play over and over and ver until it was automatic. When the play happened in a live game, they didn\u2019t have to think about it; they just executed.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>I think that holds true for anything that you aren\u2019t in the practice of. When you first ride a bike, swim, ABCs, etc.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>Small magic is the same. While it\u2019s easy to do, it\u2019s also easy to forget until it\u2019s automatic. Every day I have to remind myself, and often, more than once a day.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>I remind myself to be nice to me, connect with other people, show my humanity, be vulnerable, and so many other ways I can practice small magic.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>Some days I forget; most I don\u2019t. The more I practice small magic, the greater the impact for me and others. I even put it on my calendar for each day just so I\u2019ll have a reminder. Do I write in my calendar: \u201cbrush my teeth?\u201d No, it\u2019s already automatic.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>Until it moves over in that area, I\u2019ll continue to schedule and practice small magic.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>Gotta go now- time to practice.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>If you\u2019ve been following my \u201csmall magic\u201d journey, you know performing it requires no equipment, special training or preparation.
